Manage rate-limiting internally
Please consider managing incoming requests (with a load balancer or reverse proxy) so the client applications do not need to manage rate-limiting.
Incoming requests above the 'simultaneous' threshold could be queued while resources are scaled/allocated, rather than being rejected with a 429 response.
This would simplify integration.
6 voteswe will be providing a batch api to perform this. It’s currently planned, but no ETA.

Add option to switch off img URL subtitles in PDF output
The PDF creation script adds URLs to all images on the page as a subtitles.
If it's photo it may be useful to let the user load the image file.
If it's logo or other it's annoying and nasty.4 votesThe new Chrome rendering fixes a lot of the old PDF generating problems, such as this. please try again.

CasparJS
Being able to use CasparJS navigation scripts would open up your service to new simple use cases that go beyond what you can do today / things you can only do with relatively complex Javascript injection today.

The following request returned four different results:
1. rendered without the image
2. rendered while image was still rendering (blurry image)
3. rendered with image but croped to the size without image

new api docs here: http://api.phantomjscloud.com
here’s some notes that might help you:
1) can disable images with pageRequest.resourceSettings parameters
2) not sure, maybe you can include javascript that will modify the images on page afterwards? or if these are pages/images you control, you can use pageRequest.resourceSettings to modify the src of images.
3) not sure how to do that. if you know how to do in phantomjs.exe, let me know.
4) it looks good to me…. -

out of scope, you could choose HTML output and then run a minifier yourself.

batch api to return ZIP
i'd like to get a zip of the batch api contents, not a json body.
3 votesdeprecating batch api (will create an open-source batch api app after stage2 launches)
-
batch api callback should return a json object, not object of serialized strings.
currently all the completed pages are serialized strings, which is hard to read as it contains a lot of escaped whitespace.
3 votesbatch api has been removed, will add a better one in the next few weeks
